NanoStyle Expresses Gratitude to Animal Rights Activist Pamela Anderson
From Playboy Playmate to animal rights activist former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson has repeatedly stunned the world with sensational animal rights campaigns.
As an international ambassador of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Pamela has bared all to reveal the truth behind the treatment of animals. The sassy star has been a vegetarian since she was a teenager and has used her celebrity status to relentlessly advocate animal rights in various startling campaigns. Pamela was the first recipient of the Linda McCartney Memorial Award for animal rights protectors in 1999. She has battled against Kentucky Fried Chicken and their treatment of 750 million chickens a year and stood up against Canada’s seal hunting trade.
Her PETA ad All Animals Have the Same Parts has been banned by Canada as sexist. The ad depicts Pamela’s body, wearing a seductive bikini, divided like a beef cutting chart with the slogan “All animals have the same parts. Have a heart. Go vegetarian”.
Pamela has also pressured Israel’s members of Parliament to pass a bill banning the trade of fur in the country. Recently, Pamela visited Tel Aviv for a lingerie shoot and naturally used the visit as an ideal opportunity to further fight for the cause. She met with friends and co-activists PETA vice president Dan Matthews, MK Ronit Tirosh, author of the bill banning animal fur trading in Israel, and Jane Halevy from Israel’s International Anti-Fur Coalition. Israel will be the first country in the world to pass such a law and the bill will soon be through setting the precedent for other countries to follow.
